Nice work guys. You guys did a nice job with your attention to detail. I liked the explanation of Seabiscuit's posture and how he had to over come this to be a champion. I wouldn't have minded knowing a little more about how his trainer was able to eliminate this problem.
ReplyDeleteAlways like to here about another American underdog that takes the victory. you guys did a good job overall, but could have just used a little bit more infor on the relation between him and the jockey. but gret Pres.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the video you guys incorporated. It was interesting how Seabiscuit could bring joy to so many people even in times of despair.
ReplyDeleteI liked how you used a laser light to point out the posture of his legs and compare it to an actual running horse. You guys did a really good job at presenting, and had a lot of information.
ReplyDeleteThe thing i found most important in your presentation is that there was 70,000 people at the final race, that is alot of people for that time period to see a race. I would have enjoyed to learn more about the jocky and how he and the horse went through their leg problems together.
ReplyDeleteVery good presentation. I learned a lot about Seabiscuit. I thought it was amazing that he was in the newspapers more that FDR and Hitler. I also thought that it was incredible that he brought 70,000 fans to the stadium. The only thing that I saw was a lot of stuttering. You may have wanted to practice more, but overall a very good presentation.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about seabiscuit prior to your presentation, but i found him interesting. He was able to overcome many things, and he showed the country that they can overcome their hard times as well.
ReplyDeleteyou guys did a great job! it really showed how seabiscuit had an effect on people during the depression! Maybe you guys could have touched up on the jockey and the horses relationship a little more during the presentation.
ReplyDeleteThe presentation was obviously well practiced as it was very well timed and organized. Good job on staying calm and sharing information that fit the prompt which was why Seabiscuit was iconic. Only thing I could mention is possibly more evidence for claims.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your presentation it's always fun to learn more about a rag to riches story in American history. all i would like to know or hear more about the jockey and what challenges he faced.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your guys presentation. I found it very cool that an animal could have such a big impact on manys lives during this rough time. It really shows you that if you work hard lots can be accomplished. Very inspirational.
ReplyDeleteI found seabiscuit's story to be inspiring. I thought the facts presented were interesting and I did not really know the story.
ReplyDeleteI love this story! It is truly wonderful. I always love rooting for the underdog, but what's even sweeter is when the underdog wins! I wouldn't call myself a die-heart horse aficionado, but this story warms my heart. Who would have guessed that a poor postured horse would end up bringing the country together? But, Seabisquit, represents America in a sense, how we rose from poor and humble means to greatness by the grace of God. Thank you very much, I enjoyed your passion for your subject greatly and I learned a lot!
