Inside Job

Many questions stand out to me in regards to Inside Job, mainly how people involved in the banking systems at the decline of world economy towards the late 2000’s, having a leading role in government. It baffles me that Henry Paulson and his connections with Goldman Sachs as well as Ben Bernanke and Timothy Geithner have leading roles in Government. The same people who were involved in all the greed surrounding many investment and large banks are appointed by our presidents to have such roles as Secretary of Treasury?? In my opinion, shouldn’t these issues be more important in getting the United States out of the hole it’s in vs. socioeconomic issues that seem to be flooding our televisions during the recent election?

  1. Good essay. I definitely agree that the people involved with our current economic state should not have any part in our government. How are we to get out of this hole when the people responsible are the ones in charge of getting us out?

  2. I absolutely agree with your sentiment, Kyle. Big business definitely needs to keep itself out of the government.
