very good and fun presentation! very informational. Didn't know he broke out of prison all those times! only thing i would like to know a little bit more about is who was in his gang and how did he know other famous criminals?
ReplyDeleteWow, I learned a lot that I never knew about John Dillinger! One thing I took away from this is how much times have changed. It's sad truly, that we live in such a day and age that we really can't afford to trust people anymore. Equally sad would be the fact that during John Dillinger's time, people like himself would take advantage of the "trusting times" for their own gain. Yes, there was corruption in the banks of his time and people felt cheated, but I still don't believe that that justifies his actions. Unfortunately, his schemes and lifestyle led to his death. Thank you guys very much for the interesting presentation. By the way, I was impressed with the power point itself it looked very professional and well done.
ReplyDeleteI thought this person was very interesting and how funny it was that he escaped from jail so many times. One would think that the police officers would keep a better eye on him while in jail.
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you guys talked about how people believe he wasnt killed. although he robbed banks and was looked apon as bad, i think he was just doing what he had to do to get by.
ReplyDeleteCool presentation. I have to call you out Kyle for saying that Dillinger wasn't a villain. People can rationalize just about anything. I thought the information of his youth was insightful. It seems that he was destined to be a criminal.
ReplyDeleteA guy that excapes prison and is viewed as a good guy by the public? Sounds like a champ to me! No but really you guys did great! Would of liked to maybe hear about his child hood just to see if something happened when he was younger to lead up to him being a criminal.
ReplyDeleteI thought the main slide was intriguing in making you think whether he was a hero or villain. I would have to say that he was a villain. But anyways your presentation was well rounded and had great facts as well as explaining why it was iconic.

ReplyDeleteI love how everyone had different information about what happen with John Dillinger. It's amazing the crazy things heard but I love the information you guys gave about him. I was really interested about how he had a face treatment and tried to get his fingerprint removed. You guys did great!
ReplyDeleteOkay so to start out I REALLY enjoyed the timeline you guys had just how it flowed was very cool. I think it takes some skill to break out prison that many times. i mean people today try that and always seem to fail. I would have liked to have learned more about his life on the run from the law. but over all GREAT job!
ReplyDeleteVery good presentation. I learned a lot about John Dillinger. I found it surprising that he was able to break out of jail so many times. Also, its amazing that some of the public thought of him as a hero, even though he became public enemy #1. Very good presentation overall!
ReplyDeleteI found it interesting that he was sentenced to 14 years for robbing a grocery store. That seemed like a very long time for robbery. I was also surprised that he escaped prison multiple times. You would think that he would have had extra security after the first time.
ReplyDeleteA criminal that is also a hero makes for an interesting story. Although it's kind of a paradox, it doesn't seem like it's possible to be a hero and also a villain. I guess it depends on a person's perspective. Video Problems... I feel you there.
ReplyDeleteYou guys had an excellent presentation. It was very factual and I had a feeling you guys sympathized with the man. The banking system really wasn't "fair" but he only took advantage of an unjust system. The man certainly knew how to play the public.
ReplyDeleteThis presentation had a couple positives that really stuck out to me. The use of hand gestures while talking made the presentation more laid back which is good. Secondly comparing John Dillinger to Robin Hood made it a lot clearer how he was viewed by the people. My critique is one that many may not agree with and is not very important but to me it lacked concrete structure and kind of jumped around a little but I still enjoyed it and understood the purpose.
